Auntie CovidiaAuntie Covidia is the third of three pieces that make up an altar for modern goddesses. She was on display at our second stage show (The Dry Run) at The Shipley Gallery. The Dry Run marks our midway point in the course. The other pieces in the altar are Deliveria’s Wheel and Yarnstormia.

Auntie is a copper-foiled, stained glass panel that incorporates various different techniques. She holds a 3D-flameworked, borosilicate glass syringe that is bursting coronavirus through the magic of vaccination. Auntie’s face is sandcast from furnace glass, other glass is upcycled salvage from old windows.
