I think that drawing is the foundation for all art. I discovered ‘Zen doodling‘ awhile ago. It’s all about repeating patterns in a confined space. It’s easy to slip into a meditative state while doing it and has been inspiring me to try and draw something every day, even if it’s just a doodle.
I’ve been remiss about adding these designs to my card shop — have been concentrating more on stained glass. Please have a look at some of my designs on Elfgift Stained Glass on etsy.
About me
I was a technical writer in the software development world for a long time. I retrained as a graphic designer, and now it’s time to be an illustrator.
About the journal
I started the journal a few years ago, after taking an excellent and inspiring short course ‘Enhanced Illustration’ at Central Saint Martins in London. Some of the illustrations, like Disgraced Bob are assignments from the course.
