Autumn and a strange new restart

We restart at the University of Sunderland next week, under social distance rules and in year bubbles. It’s my third year time-wise, but because I’m attending part time I’m just beginning Year 2. I’m going to miss my chums from my original cohort (because of the year bubbles we’ll be in the National Glass Centre on different days), but it will be good to see the second cohort classmates again. Last year ended in lockdown. Last year’s final piece for assessment was based on a Northumbrian ballad, the Laily Worm and the Machrel of the Sea. I painted and kiln-fired some of the details.
